The Independent Pet and Animal Transportation Association International, Inc.(IPATA)IPATA is an international trade association whose members include animal handlers, pet moving providers, kennel operators, veterinarians and others who work for welfare of pets and small animals during transport. It has over 280 offices in over 60 countries with services to all major airports worldwide. The IPATA members are registered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and abide by the rules and regulations of the USDA's Animal Welfare Act.

IATA
IATAIATA, the international trade body, represents around 230 airlines. Apart from serving the airline industry in general, it ensures safety and animal welfare during live animals transportation by air. It coordinates the Live Animals and Perishables Board (LAPB) and instructs the airline industry on such issues as animal welfare, identification and animal behavior based on modern science etc. The Live Animals Regulations (LAR) of IATA is the worldwide standard for transporting live animals by commercial airlines.
