Tips on Packing for Move
- Start with one room and pack the whole things of one room at a time in the packing boxes. This will make the unpacking extremely easy for you. Pack the small items first as too many unpacked things give very cluttered appearance.
- Mark the packing boxes as soon as you finish packing. Write the name of the room so that while unpacking you can be at relief.
- Do not overload the boxes. Keep their weight very reasonable.
- Make one "open first box" packing where you will keep all the handy things like soap, scissors, pencils, pens, glue, tape, bath towel for your family. While packing this box think of all the handy things that are required. Keep these things as accessible as possible and also keep this packing box close to you.
- Also pack the relevant medicine and if there is special requirement of any medicine then make the "emergency box" and keep that with you while moving.
Packing Tapes for Move
- All your important documents must be kept in one packing box for a move.
- You need one ”moving file” that will contain the documents related to moving like insurance, payment, important contact information etc. Keep this file and your file of important documents in a very safe place may be in your suitcase.
- For fragile items take the double packing boxes and give proper cushioning to absorb the chock.
- While packing the kitchen use the "kitchen storage container" for packing the stuff in the kitchen. Do not keep any thing perishable with you.
- Do not stick tape directly on the polished or painted surface. Using this directly will remove the paint or finish.
- If you are hiring the packing company then make sure to look for relocation package negotiation.
- Also while packing make sure to keep the clothes that you and your family are going to wear after reaching your new home separate. Along with this also keep the toothbrush, paste, soap and other things that are required immediately after reaching at hand's distance. As half of freshness comes when you get the things you are comfortable in.
- Keep the clean sheet of bed with you so that you can use it whenever required.
