Extreme change in the temperature affect the taste and appearance of wine so you must take care of this while moving wine. 55 degrees is considered as the best temperature to move wine. If you are carrying white wine then you have to worry little as these are not much harmed by the changing temperature.

You must tell your moving companies that you are carrying high-value items and want to move wine collection so that any special arrangement that are required can be accomplished during move.
You will have to fill the High-Value Inventory form to show that wine collection is not limited to minimal liability.
Check The Moving Laws of Destination State
You must check the moving laws of your destination state as some states has the restrictions on the amount of liquor you can carry. Also there are dry counties that prohibit alcohol. Some counties do not allow the sale of alcohol and some allows teh amount that you can carry to your home. You have to check this with alcohol beverage control authorities in the state you are intending to move.
Best Time to Move Wine Collection
Early spring or late fall is considered as the best time for moving wine collection as too hot or too cold temperature can cause harm to the wine. But if your move is during summer or in winter season then better to get the wine moving done through commercial airline.
Once you have reached at your destination, do not open the wine bottles immediately as it may loss its flavor because of bottle shock that is the result of wine shaking during wine moving.
